Pat Flynn is an Irish lad who has made a name for himself in Olathe, Kan. not as the guy with a green hat and a pot of gold, but as the mathematics connoisseur at Olathe High School. A 14-year teaching veteran at the high school and community college level, Flynn leads the dominant Olathe East Math Team as well as presents at many local, state and national conventions. Honored three times as Who's Who Among America's Teachers, he's also a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the Kansas City Area Teachers of Mathematics. Flynn has been a WAUMED writer for all three seasons of NUMB3RS and is currently interested in the integration of mathematics with art. With a bachelor's and a master's degree in mathematics education from the University of Kansas, this Jayhawk loves to spend time with his family and aspires to be the first mathematician to calculate pi to perfect precision.
